Apple CEO acknowledges broken iPhone Duo displays and supply constraint

Apple held its Q4 earnings call today, where the company reported fourth-quarter sales over $110 billion, beating analyst estimates. As part of the call, new CEO John Ternus spoke to Reuters about the iPhone Duo display and supply.

Ternus claimed a "very small percentage" of iPhone Duos are suffering from the display problems.

He also said Apple has no timeline for catching up with demand.

"Duo is constrained as of today," Ternus said. "The ramp is going well, and we're working hard to get it to as many customers as quickly ‌as possible, but at this point, we're not able to predict when supply and demand will be in balance."

Samsung launches its first open-ear wireless earbuds

Samsung has expanded the Galaxy Buds lineup with its first pair of clip-on wireless earbuds. The Galaxy Buds On will likely appeal to runners, cyclists and hikers as — like other open-ear options — they clip around the outer ear allowing you to hear your surroundings as well as the content.

The Galaxy Buds On utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform and feature a Class-D amplifier. Samsung claims up to 9.5 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge. At present, the Galaxy Buds On are only available in Samsung's native South Korea but the company has confirmed it will be bringing them to global markets soon.
